The Italian “highest” football match!

What a great day!

The Tour’s participants can tell they played the first football match in Italy at such height: 3.200 meters of altitude!
It’s been very hard… but models and journalists did the best they could, and they had so much fun!!!
Competitiveness and fun gained over the cold weather and… what a match! :)

And then… there was a surprise! Not just one… but two football players from the Italian team Inter were on the Stelvio Pass with us!
Orlandoni, the third goalkeeper of the team, refereed our football match!
And of course there was Materazzi! He was quite busy answering several interviews, and then he also decided to test the Snowcontrol Serie II!

Laughs and skids all together on the Stelvio’s snow to test these new tyres.
And so we managed to mix everything… women, cars and huskies!

But still… it isn’t over! The Tour of the Alps is full of surprises!
And later on we will find out who will be the final winner…! :)

PS Here is the picture of the Italian National Models Football Team with the Inter football player Paolo Orlandoni :)

This morning the Tour’s participants woke up very early… someone was already walking around the dining room… at sunrise!! :)

After breakfast, at 7 am, we all went to the cableway, to reach 3.200 meters of altitude… and let the adventure begin!

While one group was having the test drive on the purpose-made track, the other one was experiencing the sled dog, running on sleighs pulled by the beautiful huskies!

This was for sure an unforgettable experience!
But there’s just few time for a cup of hot coffee… the football match is about to start! Models are waiting for us!
Who do you think is going to win? Red or yellow team?? Place your bet! :)

See you later… :)

We finally left!! The Tour of the Alps has officially started!!

The group that left few hours ago from Munich is travelling in the direction of Garmisch-Partnerkirchen to arrive then on the Stelvio Pass, driving through amazing landscapes and bends, testing for the first time the Snowcontrol Serie II.

The group that left from Milan already tested the Snowcontrol Serie II on Vizzola’s track, where the Pirelli technical team helped the participants to know better this new tyre and its potencial on wet and dry surfaces in winter conditions!

After this experience also this group is travelling through beautiful mountain passes like the Maloja Pass, the Bernina Pass and the Forcola Pass, and after passing through Livigno, it will then arrive on the Stelvio Pass this afternoon!

But there is something more… the competition started too! During the trip, as we already said, the different crew will have a portable dvd player to answer a video questionnaire about Pirelli, its history and winter tyres to gain points for the final score!

Who will be the winner?? We will find it out tomorrow, when there will be other points to add to the final score: those coming from the football match bets and those from the sled dog race!

See you later!! :)

Good morning everybody!

Ready to start with us the Tour of the Alps??
Tomorrow is The day! Countdown is rushing… just few hours to go, baggages are almost packed! :)

Some members of the Pirelli Team are already on the Stelvio Pass, where everything is going well despite the snow and the cold weather (take a look at the web cam picture below…)!

Even if it’s snowing and windy today we are anyway assembling the football pitch at 3.200 meters of altitude, so that the Italian National Models Football Team can start training for Wednesday’s match!

We need to go back to work now, but stay tuned for more news!!

So who is the mysterious player??? You guessed it, he’s Materazzi… he will arrive on the Stelvio by helicopter, spending time with us on the football pitch and maybe showing us some cool tricks!

Anyway… surprises are not over yet!
Before the match with the models we will try to involve our guests in several unique experiences: can you imagine what it takes to carry 50 Huskies up to 3.200 meters of altitude on a cableway??

Well this is what we are trying to do, and our guests will challenge each other in a competition… just as if they were in Antarctica!
The race will take place on the purpose-made snow track, where the sledges pulled by these beautiful animals (which are also the Snowcontrol Serie II symbol!) will run and chase each other.

But there is still something missing… to be continued tomorrow! :)

Hey..still looking at the models’ picture? You are starting being curious, aren’t you!? :)

Well… let’s say our girls are not just models, they are part of the Italian National Models Football Team and ten of these pretty and sporty girls will be on the Stelvio Pass with us! :)
They will be divided in two teams to play five-a-side football and in the same game also the Tour’s participants can play… it will be a real match and guests will be asked to bet on the winner in order to gain points and increase their score!

Anyway.. the game will take place at an altitude of 3.200 metres… what do you think, will they make it??!

Ah…and not to be forgotten… there will be an exceptional referee… he is a very popular football player… an international one, or better we say a world-famous player… !!

Take a look at the picture and try to guess it!! :)
